Seating availableRoss Gardam is exhibiting a continuation of the Volant Lighting collection, which was launched in Milan at Salone del Mobile in 2023, as well as the latest piece in the studio’s Editions collection.
Volant is a modern chandelier that’s almost akin to a kinetic sculpture. A static lamp with an uncanny ability to appear in motion. Solid brass bars are home to textured, tubular formed-glass elements, angled to give the impression of floating objects revolving around each other. The result is an elegant equilibrium that’s at once enthralling yet soothing. To round out this collection released in 2023, the studio has conceived an extra large chandelier with 5 tiers in a delicate balance to one another. There will also be two new wall lights added to the Volant family using the same materiality and vernacular as the original chandeliers.
The new Edition piece is a side table constructed from sandblasted aluminium plate. The table balances gracefully on an impossibly narrow pedestal base anchored by dense marble offcuts rescued from a local stone mason. The table is produced with different marble ballast finishes making up a total edition of nine pieces.
