Accessible bathroom, All gender bathroom, Seating available, Wheelchair accessibleHow does light transform the physical environment and consequently shape the understanding of our surroundings from an individual to a collective level?
Shine a Light is an event hosted at the Unios Melbourne Experience Centre that explores the power and potential of light told through the narratives of six storytellers in the fields of architecture, lighting design and interior design. It is not a traditional talk or panel event. The audience is encouraged to simply be present, listen and observe the stories being shared, much like watching a film in a cinema. It’s an opportunity for individuals to introspectively reflect and find inspiration in the narratives shared by the speakers. Each story is supported by carefully curated visuals central to the speakers’ narrative and an ethereal soundtrack, all placed in a space created as a dedication to light and lighting design.
Each story tackles a different aspect of light, one that is unique to the lived experience of the speaker. Shine a Light is shaped to spark thoughtful discourse and considerations about light in each individual’s life.
