Raised within a highly creative family and immersed in the design world from the earliest stages of her career, Nicci Kavals established Articolo in 2010. The studio is the culmination of many years’ international experience in food styling and interior and product design, during which Nicci became increasingly fascinated by the ephemeral qualities of light, and intent on creating artisanal lighting of enduring aesthetic appeal and uncompromising functionality. As her designs evolve, several constants remain – an organic, intuitive design process, a profound respect for the unique beauty of hand-worked natural materials, and partnerships with master practitioners who are integral to the meticulous crafting of the Articolo range.
