Accessible bathroom, All gender bathroom, Assistance animals welcome, Low sensory / relaxed, Seating available, Wheelchair accessibleThe verb ‘Aver’ comes to English via the Latin root words ad, meaning “to,” and verus, meaning “true.” The word can have the sense of formally declaring something is true.
Aver represents a true exhibition of pure material celebration. Subtle design details are developed to enhance and highlight natural material variations, working with rather than against the natural imperfections and character of the material subjects. Working with reclaimed solid travertine and glass the contrast in materials and tone was developed to create objects of longevity. Counter intuitive to perception many large blocks of marble arise as reclaimed ‘off-cuts’ to an industry built around thin and efficient slab thicknesses. Working with selected one-off pieces sourced from Italy Aver works backwards from sourced materials to the resulting forms and size. Aver attempts to subtly compliment rather than distract from the true beauty of naturally formed materials resulting in a limited edition of mono material collectable works functional for lifetimes to come.
Opening celebrations will be held on the evening of 22nd of May from 5:30pm – 8pm.
