Who What Where | An antidote to fast furniture is an exhibition that encourages us to be inquisitive about the pieces we buy. The exhibition aims to empower us as individuals to be the antidote to socially and environmentally determinantal fast furniture trends. By asking the right questions, we can play our part in reversing the toxic fast furniture culture. Join Franco Crea at their studio showroom, 259 Swan Street Richmond, and discover what to look out for when selecting your next furniture piece. Leaflet guides will also be available on the day to take away with you and ponder in your own time with light refreshments available.

At the heart of each FrancoCrea collection is a commitment to timeless, heirloom-quality design. An object becomes an heirloom not solely through its construction, but through the stories that give it special meaning as it passes down through generations. We are inspired by this process of meaning-making and the many ways we, as human beings, feel connected to objects, to others, and to ourselves. Their approach to furniture design is marked by precision and intention and has been since 2013. They are a team of local designers and artisans passionate about preserving true craftsmanship. All of their products are designed and crafted on Australian soil in Adelaide and Melbourne, and each piece is name-plated and verified with a certificate of authenticity. Indoors or outdoors, residential or commercial, our responsibility as heirloom furniture designers remains the same: they design for real life, not for design’s sake.
