In this public lecture Alessandro Mason, a multidisciplinary designer and co-founder of Studio GISTO, will address and explore themes and topics that have guided research developed by the studio including extra-activism, resources, property, value, risk, territory, and community. It will also be an opportunity to speak to his recent project UPSTART with designer and educator Warren Taylor.

Alessandro Mason is a multidisciplinary designer and co-founder of Studio GISTO – a studio/workshop based in Milan and Treviso with projects spanning design, architecture and craftsmanship. In parallel to his projects with Studio GISTO, Mason carries out research based projects and teaching activities in dialogue and collaboration with multiple institutions and universities such as IUAV faculty of Design and Art of Venice, Free University of Bolzen, Oslo Architecture Triennale, Concentrico Festival and ‘Care of’ Milano.
