It’s wicked, it’s complex, bring in the designers – Designing for complex health challenges.
Uniquely able to design ecosystems for innovation, designers are using these capabilities to take on the challenge of designing for complex wicked problems. In the Netherlands, leading institutions TU Delft, Erasmus University Rotterdam and Erasmus Medical Centre have joined forces in Convergence, with a committed to combine their strengths, knowledge, and methods to address societal challenges such as climate change, sustainability, pressure on the healthcare system, urbanisation, and digitalisation.
Professor Richard Goossens leads the Healthcare & Technology stream at Convergence and brings to this his considerable expertise as an ergonomic healthcare designer, with numerous patents and awards. In this public presentation, as part of Melbourne Design Week, he will share his experience as a leader at Convergence creating innovation for impact in healthcare in multidisciplinary ways.
