Seascapes from Shells is a presentation of contemporary nature-based designs that respond to the design of urban seascapes. During this event Sophie Lanigan will share her research into the design of aquatic infrastructures and present some recent works. In addition to the presentations, the audience will observe shell waste from the market and consider the inefficiency of this high-quality material (calcium carbonate) going into landfill. The informality of the setting seeks to promote open dialogue between the designers and the audience. There will also be the opportunity to share some food together.
