Assistance animals welcome, Wheelchair accessibleThis is not the end is an exhibition of new work by independent furniture makers and artists at the CoCraft Workshop gallery.
In January 2024 a ban on all Victorian native timber logging officially took effect. While this is a positive for the environment, it brings about challenges for makers who have based businesses on these timbers over many years. This is also an opportunity for designers to embrace this change, explore new materials, techniques and business models. This exhibition is a showcase of CoCraft Workshop’s experiments and an invitation to designers and architects to explore this new ground with them.
The 800sqm workshop and maker studio spaces will be open to the public. Free one hour woodworking demonstrations will occur daily where attendees will be shown how to machine, trim, sand and oil a beautiful recycled hardwood chopping board that they can take home. Bookings are essential.
